Mouse Trap Car Craziness!!!

Welcome to my mousetrap car craziness!!! This page is designed to help you post questions and ideas as we navigate through this project. Your group will be required to blog two times a week sharing ideas, thoughts etc. Each week two topics will be posted so make sure you comment under each one. Are you ready to figure out how to make a mousetrap car? Post a difference between a speed and distance car????

boochi and i are almost ready to make a mousetrap car, we are going to build a speed car. the difference between a speed car and a distance car is that a speed car has smaller wheels, so they spin faster. distance cars have bigger wheels so they go farther with each turn.

The speed uses smaller wheels than a distance car.

the difference of the distance and speed car is the size of the wheels. The distance car has bigger wheels and the speed car has smaller wheels.

Jen and I are making a distance car. The main difference is wheel size. Speed cars have smaller wheels, and distance cars have bigger wheels.

Distance cars usually have bigger wheels so they can go further and speed cars usually have smaller wheels because they need wheels that can spin fast.

Lance, Kevin and I are doing a speed car. The difference between a distance car and a speed car is distance cars have larger wheels and generally have a longer body than the speed cars.

hi this is derek and connor, we're going to build a speed mouse trap machine. The most important difference between a speed car and a distance car is that a speed car has smaller wheels. This allows the wheels to revolve quicker. Distance cars have larger wheels. This is so they can travel more distance with each revolution of the wheels. And also we're gonna win.

we are making a distance car. The difference is that distance cars have bigger wheels to make them go further with every rotation. Speed cars have smaller wheels so they go faster.

One difference between a distance and a speed car is that the distance mouse trap car generally has a longer lever arm in order to conserve energy in order to get as far as it can. The speed car usually has a shorter lever to get the maximum speed possible as soon as possible.

A speed car uses small wheels so when the axle spins the wheels will spin quick. Distance cars have big wheels so when the axle spins it will cause the bigger wheel to spin at the same speed but since the wheel is bigger it will cover more distance.

the bigger the wheel to axle ratio would be MUCH better for speed. for speed smaller wheels, for distance bigger wheels are better because they travel more with every rotation.

the difference is the size of the wheels: distance is larger, to make it go farther. abby and I are making a distance car.

Cam and I are going to try to build a speed car. It might be easier because everything has to be smaller and more light.

Molly and i have finished our prelim and have decided to make a distance car. the difference betwen the speed car and the distance car is that the distance car uses bigger wheels and the speed uses smaller.

Spencer and I are ready to build our distance car. We've figured out that distance cars generally have larger wheels and longer lever arms. We think we will use cds for the wheels since they are large and won't cause a lot of friction. We think we will use balsa wood for the body, but we dont know about the lever arm yet.

julie and i have done our research and have decided to build a speed car. we noticed that speed cars typically have smaller back wheels than distance but also very small front wheels. distance cars typically have larger front and back wheels.

We have decided to do a speed car. We think that it will be more exciting than the distance cars.

We are building a distance car which uses larger wheels than a speed car. We're using paint sticks as the base of our mousetrap car.

Kevin,Lance and I have decided what type of car to make but we really dont know how we are going to make it and with what.

We are going to try a speed car
